Student: The Snap-On Tool Company Scholarship

The Snap-On Tool Company will donate five (5) sets of aviation tools each year to be awarded to students of Aviation Maintenance Training schools. Northrop Rice Foundation will administer this scholarship program and select the winners. Each tool set is valued at approximately $4,900.00. The scholarship recipient will be selected by the Board of the Northrop Rice Foundation. Deadline for submission is January 31, 2012.

Student: Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA)

The Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) is donating one $1000.00 Maintenance Training Scholarship for a student attending an FAA certificated Part 147 school. This financial award may be applied toward tuition, books, or tests. The scholarship recipient will be selected by the Board of the Northrop RIce Foundation. Students, Instructors, Veterans: NRF AVIATION SCHOLARSHIPS

The Northrop Rice Foundation offers aviation scholarships for instructors and students of approved Part 147 Aviation Technician Schools and for honorably discharges veterans who are preparing to take the Federal Aviation Administration written examinations for certification as Aviation Maintenance Technicians (A&P). The scholarships are funded by donations made to the Foundation  by several aviation organizations that are supporting the Foundation's efforts to assist young people who are entering or about to enter the Aviation Industry.

The scholarships may be applied toward tuition, upgrade training, books, or tool depending on the category of assistance requested. The maximum amount of the scholarships is $1,000.00 per year.

The deadline date for submission of student and instructor applications is January 31, 2012. Veteran applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Instructors: Boeing 700 series training

Scholarship through Southwest Airlines
Southwest Airlines is donating one scholarship per year for one instructor of an ATEC member school. The scholarship provides for attendance in either a two week Boeing 737-700NG Systems or one week Boeing 737-700NG Avionics course. This training scholarship will be awarded to an instructor selected by the Board of the Northrop Rice Foundation.
The deadline date for submission of instructor applications is January 31, 2012.

Instructors: King Air Scholarship for Instructors

Scholarship through FlightSafety International
FlightSafety International is donating one scholarship per year for one instructor of an ATEC member school to attend the FSI's King Air Maintenance Course. The scholarship is valued at $7200.00 and will be awarded to an instructor selected by the Board of the Northrop Rice Foundation.
The deadline date for submission of instructor applications is January 31, 2012.

NIDA CORPORATION TRAINING EQUIPMENT AWARD
The NIDA Corporation is donating an Aviation Maintenance Training System to be awarded to an ATEC member school. The Training System includes a Model 143E Test console, a Model 1438A Aviation maintenance Technology Experiment Card Set, a Scores Pro Learning System and a Client Access License. NEW! Instructors: HELICOPTER MAINTENANCE TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP

PROVIDED BY AMERICAN EUROCOPTER
American Eurocopter is donating one scholarship per year for an instructor of an ATEC member school that is a member of the Northrop Rice Foundation. The scholarship will provide for attendance in any two-week Airframe Maintenance course conducted at the American Eurocopter facility in Grand Prairie, TX. The scholarship recipient will be selected by the Board of the Northrop Rice Foundation.  INstructors interested in being considered for this award can apply by downloading the application and submitting the required information before the January 31, 2012 deadline.

NRF INSTRUCTOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The Northrop Rice Foundation Instructor Assistance Program provides funds to assist instructors with travel and per diem expenses when attending 2 or 3 day upgrade training programs. If you are planning to attend an industry training program to enhance your teaching abilities and you are in need of financial help with travel expenses the Foundation may be able to help you. Applications accepted year-round.

DALE HURST FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARD
AVOTEK has instituted an instructor scholarship in memory of Dale Hurst that will provide funds for an instructor from a Part 147 school that is a member of the Northrop Rice Foundation to attend upgrade training provided by the Industry. This scholarship is awarded once each year to cover travel and perdiem expenses for a maximum of 1500.00 Application deadline is January 31, 2012.
