NORTHROP RICE FOUNDATION Veteran Scholarships
The Northrop Rice Foundation
annually offers financial assistance scholarships to active
or retired military applicants seeking A&P certification based on the applicant’s military
training and experience, and satisfactory scores on oral and practical FAA tests. These
scholarships cover the cost of reference text books, study guides, publications, and
handbooks needed to study for the FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant written tests.
UNITED AIRLINES Veteran Scholarship
offers an aviation scholarship to an honorably discharged veteran
student needing financial assistance. The veteran must be participating in a FAR Part
147 school’s Aviation Maintenance Technician training program. The scholarship
provides fifteen-hundred dollars ($1,500) which may be applied toward tuition, books, or
tools depending on the category of assistance desired.
